Sandblasting is a term for the process of smoothing, shaping and cleaning a hard surface by forcing solid particles across that surface at high speeds. Sandblasting or abrasive blasting removes mill scale, corrosion (rust), coatings (paint), heat treatment discoloration, weld spatter or other physical defects. As such, blast cleaning is a preparatory step for a product that will be painted, anodized, plated, powder coated, otherwise finished.

Michigan Sandblasting, Inc., Scott Martin, the current president of Michigan Sandblasting Inc., worked with his father for several years until he recently purchased one of the locations himself and gave it a new name. Though it is under a new name, Scott has kept his father’s tradition of quality, personal service and 100% customer satisfaction at all times.
